Steps to Clean Chrome Exhaust Tips

The first thing that you need to do is get the dirt off your exhaust tips. You can do this by simply using soap and water and some elbow grease. Make sure you rub hard but be careful not to scratch the chrome as you wash them. The next thing you'll want to do is dry the exhaust tips with a towel and then wash them again. However, this time use vinegar in the cleaning process. The vinegar will remove the more ingrained dirt that the soap was not able to get off. Finally, there is most likely some small rust spots on your chrome exhaust tips as well. You can remove these rust spots by using the finest steel wool that you can find and dipping it in vinegar. Then scrub very lightly and wipe it down with a towel when you are finished.
